Netflix’s upcoming film “Love Untangled” has released a new batch of stills!
Set in 1998 Busan, “Love Untangled” follows 19-year-old Park Se Ri ( Shin Eun Soo ), who sets out on a mission to fix her lifelong insecurity—her curly hair—before finally confessing her feelings to her crush. Along the way, she gets entangled with Han Yoon Seok ( Gong Myoung ), a transfer student from Seoul.
The newly released stills capture the sparkling moments of love and friendship among 19-year-olds in 1998 Busan. With nostalgic details like retro hairstyles, disposable cameras, and popular comic books, the film evokes fond memories for those who grew up in the era and sparks curiosity for those who didn’t.
From the moment Yoon Seok, a transfer student with a story of his own, arrives in Busan, he begins to get entangled with Se Ri in unexpected ways. Meanwhile, Se Ri falls head over heels for Kim Hyun ( Cha Woo Min ), the school’s most popular boy, and sets out on a grand confession mission with help from her ever-loyal best friend Seong Rae (Yoon Sang Hyun) and their tight-knit friend group. Caught up in the plan by chance, Yoon Seok slowly begins to open his heart as he spends more time with Se Ri and her friends.
Adding to the charm is In Jeong ( Kang Mina ), who rivals Se Ri with her own fabulously curly hair. One day, In Jeong shows up with sleek, straight locks, reigniting Se Ri’s desire for a hair makeover. Spurred into action, Se Ri heads straight to Jangmi Hair Salon—leaving viewers wondering whether she’ll succeed in transforming her look and finally confess her feelings.
Among the new stills are tender moments that hint at shifting emotions—Yoon Seok watching Se Ri as she shyly greets Kim Hyun, and the two sharing a private conversation in Se Ri’s secret hideout—suggesting something might be quietly blossoming between them.
“Love Untangled” will premiere on August 29.
