Speaking to The Sun via WhichBingo , Shaun, who has lost over three stone on the Jane Plan, said he’s always had bad habits that

He said: “I’ve always got bad habits, and extreme bad habits too. I used to have eight sugars in my coffee and in my tea.

“Then I stopped completely. And cigarettes too, I used to smoke 20 to 30 cigarettes a day. Then I just stopped.

“So in terms of extremes, you know, one minute I’m obsessed and the next minute, I’m completely the other way. So I suppose that’s the Gemini nature of my sort of existence, actually.”

Speaking about Shaun said: “I’m really glad that Mark had lost the weight that he had because he did have health issues in terms of .

“Fair play to him to basically grabbing the bull by the horns and basically taking control of his physical and mental well-being.

“I’ve always tried to do that myself and we definitely are pleased for each other and the progress we’ve both made.”

Before finding fame Mark lived his life as a Math teacher where he weighed 29 st according to The Daily Record , he then joined the cast of in 2009.

However, Shaun was the first ever and has insisted he wants to be the last.

He told us recently: “I was the world’s first chaser, and when Mark came on board, the one thing we said to each other was that I’m not really interested in how clever or good you are.

“You can have the best statistics in the world.

“But if we want this show to work, we’ve got to respect each other’s abilities.

“Otherwise, it’s going to build resentment.

“And every chaser who’s been appointed, Anne, then Paul, then Jenny, then Darren, has bought into that ethos.”

Shaun’s words come after it was revealed which had prompted filming on the show to come to a halt.

He also needs to get back to peak fitness before filming new show Chase Around The World in May.

Talking on the Royal Kennel Club podcasts, the TV quiz master said: “We’re filming now but I’ve just had knee replacement surgery,

“I had that three weeks ago, I’ve been training every single day to make sure I can physically walk up and down the plank when I go back on March 17th – as I’ve got to make up my own recording time I’m in virtually every day from then and we start the exciting new concept of Chase Around The World throughout the whole of May, I’m really looking forward to that one.”

The brand new spin-off was and will see six pairs of contestants try and track down all six Chasers who have been hidden in secret locations around the world.

Taking the brain-busting format to new heights, the series appears to have taken inspiration from as players need to showcase their general knowledge, puzzle-solving, and cultural acumen to win a life-changing prize.

Host said: “This bold new take on The Chase combines quizzing with travelling and will test contestants’ knowledge like never before.

“The Chasers are already famous around the world, so fans can look forward to seeing them ply their trade in some superb secret locations.”
