"Chilling Crime: Sex Tape Suspect Brutally Kills Friends, Packs Them in Suitcase, Then Celebrates in the Nude"

LUGGING a suitcase across Bristol’s iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, many people mistook Yostin Mosquera for a lost tourist.

Unsuspecting passersby even stopped to help the Colombian native and joked his bags looked so heavy they might contain “a body” – without realising the sick contents inside.

Later, when opened the bag, they would find a decapitated and butchered human torso.

Nearby, a second case contained the dismembered body of another victim, who had intended to throw into the flowing Avon Gorge below.

The victims involved were a gay couple who tied the knot at Fulham Town Hall in a civil partnership.

The gruesome double murder understandably devastated their close friends, who have spoken out about the horrifying ordeal in the new documentary The Bodies on the Bridge.

Longworth’s friend Patrick Corkerry, who drank with him in their local pub, still has many unanswered questions, and said: “Why did he [Mosquera] do it?

“Why didn’t he just go back to Colombia? Why did he have to kill them? Especially chopping them up. What kind of a man would do that?”

Meanwhile, Gill Woolfson, who has known Paul since the 1990s when they worked for the Savoy Hotel Group together, added: “It’s almost like it’s not real. It’s like it’s almost happened to someone I didn’t know.

“Everybody liked him. Everybody knew him. He was part of the family, he got on with everyone.”

The shocking discovery led to a nationwide manhunt for porn star Mosquera, 24, who had fled the scene.

The documentary revealed how police arriving at the scene were left shocked at what they found inside the zipped bags.

Det Insp Neil Meade, from Avon and Somerset Police, shared: “Those officers that were deployed that night to that bridge, no doubt their worst nightmares came true.

“We don’t get decapitated, dismembered bodies in suitcases, ever. “

While the pair were dedicated to one another, secretly had a vice for “extreme” online pornography.

Over a number of months, he paid Mosquera – who sold pornographic material from his home in Medellin, Colombia – over £5,000 across 72 transactions.

While the South American appeared to strike up a friendship with the couple, he was secretly plotting their chilling murders.

Mosquera researched the value of their £400,000 London home and was planning to take their life savings too – while his internet searches included “serial killers of London” and “Jack the Ripper film“.

Mosquera gained hotel worker Albert’s trust over a series of them visiting each other in Colombia and the UK, with Paul flying over too on at least one occasion.

The South American was invited to stay with Albert and handyman Paul in their home in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, when he committed the crime – and bank records showed Albert paid for this flight.

Over the first few days of his stay, he had downloaded Albert’s bank details and passwords.

He had also browsed Facebook Marketplace for a chest freezer and an “industrial blender”.

His sick plan took place on July 8, 2024, after Albert headed off to work.

Mosquera viciously pounced on Paul and shattered his skull with a hammer, delivering nine blows to the head.

He appeared to have placed a plastic bag over Paul’s head to prevent blood from the blows spraying across the walls and ceiling.

He then placed the body under his bed in a storage space, before booking a flight home to Colombia.

After Albert returned to the house at 7.45pm, Mosquera led him upstairs to the bedroom and they began having sex that was filmed by webcam.

As Albert knelt naked on the floor, Mosquera stabbed him brutally in the neck 13 times, before forcing him onto the bed and slitting his throat.

A callous Mosquera could be seen after inflicting the horror.

The sickening footage, which was shown to jurors, was also deeply disturbing for police.

Det Chief Insp Ollie Stride, from the , said: “You’re thinking that’s brilliant evidence for us, but this was really close up, cinema quality footage, and was a really horrendous thing to watch, and probably the worst thing I’d seen in my career so far.

“The video starts with Albert and Mosquera having sex and then we see Mosquera pull the knife to commit the murder.

“Albert obviously hadn’t realised what’s happening.

“He managed to overpower Mosquera for quite a few seconds, then Mosquera takes back control and stabs him repeatedly.”

Det Insp Meade added: “A couple of things struck me, how quickly it happened, but also how brutal the attack was.

“It’s one of those videos you watch it and it never really leaves you.”

At first, the motive for the brutality was unclear.

Det Chief Insp Stride said: “We had no idea what the motive for the murders was, so one of the considerations or hypotheses we were looking at was, was this a hate crime?”

He added: “[Mosquera] being a Colombian national, was that linked to the cartels and the drug trade?”

However, the motive soon became clear after Mosquera started accessing Albert’s bank just minutes after the murder, and transferred £4,000 to his Colombian account.

Det Chief Insp Stride said: “You can still hear Albert breathing his last breaths and Mosquera is logging into bank accounts and searching financial information for Albert and Paul.

“It did not seem like the actions of somebody who’d just committed a horrific, brutal murder.”

To hide the bodies, he placed the couple’s heads and hands in a chest freezer.

He then paid a man to transport him and the cases to Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, which is when his sinister plan fell apart.

A passerby saw a trail of blood coming from the suitcases, which Mosquera claimed was carrying car parts, and called the police around 11.30pm.

He fled the scene, but a brave member of the public on a bicycle managed to briefly follow him and get some valuable footage of his face, which was released by the police to the public.

A Bristol resident phoned in the following day saying she had seen a man leaving a red van with two suitcases the previous evening.

Police were able to identify the red van, and the delivery driver said he had been paid to transport Mosquera – and gave police his phone number.

A WhatsApp image linked to Mosquera’s number showed he was a match for the man on the bridge, and also provided them with his name and identity.

Meanwhile, a label on the case identified Albert’s home address in London.

After a three-day manhunt, the Colombian was arrested outside Bristol Temple Meads station after police managed to track his phone’s movements.

Det Chief Insp Stride added: “I’ve dealt with many murders in my career and I think this is certainly the most horrific, the most brutal I’ve dealt with personally.

“From the post mortem, it was established that there were nine hammer blows to the back of Paul’s head that were the cause of his death and then were some defensive wounds he had on him as well, where he’d tried to fight back.

“And Albert had 13 stab wounds to the torso and arms and a further nine wounds to the face as well.

“It was a really, really brutal attack. One of the worst, most horrific attacks I’ve seen.”

Mosquera was found and claimed he was in an abusive relationship, groomed and raped by Albert – and although he denied murder, he admitted to manslaughter.

He said he stabbed Albert in an act of self defence after watching him kill his partner, Paul.

Mosquera was sentenced on October 24, 2025, to a minimum of 40 years and 264 days, with Judge Justice Bennathan saying: “I stress that is a minimum, you may never be safe to set free”.

Despite the verdict, Paul’s friend Gill may never get closure, and said: “There’s so many unanswered questions.

“If his purpose had been to steal what assets they had, that’s bad enough, but to do what he did, in the way that he did it, I don’t understand.

“Very, very angry with Albert for bringing this monster into their home, but I think it’s important to remember them both as the interesting, fun, kind, nice people that I knew.”
