Two football players, Mamadou Sarr and Sverre Nypan, have returned to Chelsea and Manchester City, respectively.
Chelsea, on Monday, confirmed that Sarr has returned to the Blues from his loan spell at Strasbourg.
The 20-year-old, who signed for the Premier League west London club last June, made his debut against ES Tunis during the club’s triumphant Club World Cup campaign.
He rejoined Strasbourg on loan last August, making 18 appearances for the French club in Ligue 1 and the Conference League.
Sarr was part of the Senegal squad that won the 2025 AFCON trophy in Morocco.
Similarly, Nypan returned to Manchester City from his loan spell at Championship club Middlesbrough.
The Norwegian joined the Cityzens in July from Rosenborg, signing a five-year deal until 2030.
The midfielder later joined Boro, where he made 22 appearances across all competitions.
Nypan will now wear the No. 41 shirt at City under manager Pep Guardiola.
