There was no dispute when the judges scored the fight 117-111, 115-113, and 115-113 in favor of Mason.

The 21-year-old looked poised for an early victory, charging out of the gate in the first three rounds.

Noakes, who suffered a cut in the fourth round, was shaken in the third after a powerful left hand landed, but he gritted his teeth and countered effectively.

In the following two rounds, Noakes fought his way back into the match, which seemed to be slipping away from him.

By the sixth round, it was an all-out battle, with Noakes bloodied and Mason striving to regain his initial momentum.

Noakes jolted Mason's head back in the seventh round, while his brother Sean, the English welterweight champion, shouted instructions from the sidelines.

In the eighth round, Mason struck back with a painful body shot followed by a flurry of punches against the ropes.

A remarkable double left hand from the Ohio native caught attention in the ninth round as Noakes attempted to pressure Mason.

Will it be third time lucky?

The British star is eager to finally secure world champion status after two previous unsuccessful attempts, but he must overcome WBC light heavyweight titleholder David Benavidez.

Yarde's first boxing disappointment occurred in 2019 when he lost a WBO title match against Sergey Kovalev.

He then faced an eighth-round stoppage in his title fight four years later.

However, Yarde has since achieved four consecutive victories, earning him a shot at the undefeated champion.
