BLACKPINK ’s Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” shows no signs of slowing down!

On August 9 at around 10 p.m. KST, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ music video for their smash hit “APT.” surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube. The song was originally released on October 18, 2024 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took the video just over 295 days to hit the 1.9 billion mark.

“APT.” has now become the fastest music video by an Asian artist to surpass 1.9 billion views on YouTube—and the fourth fastest music video ever to reach the milestone. The only music videos to reach 1.9 billion views faster to date are Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” featuring Daddy Yankee, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” and Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” featuring Cardi B.
