Who is Robert Aramayo?

was born on November 6, 1992, in Hull, England.

In 2011, he joined the Hull Truck Youth Theatre when he was just 10.

Aged 16, he secured a place at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, winning a spot from around 4,000 applicants.

His first big break was the lead role of Alex in Juilliard’s production of A Clockwork Orange.

Off the back of this performance, Robert was cast in his first movie Lost in Florence (2017), before going on to become a household name playing a young in flashback sequences in .

Despite featuring in big-budget spectacles, it was his performance in the independent biopic I Swear (2025) that solidified his status as a powerhouse lead.

In the film, Robert portrays John Davidson, a Scottish campaigner who lives with severe Tourette syndrome and became an unlikely national figure.

The film starts out with an awkward royal encounter – John receiving his OBE from Queen Elizabeth II, before inadvertently shouting an obscenity at the monarch.

During his acceptance speech, the rising star said: “I honestly cannot believe that I have won this award.

“Everyone in this category blows me away. When I was in school, came in to speak to us in Julliard and he gave an amazing talk on longevity as an actor, about protecting your instrument and avoiding self-destructive behaviours, and it had a great impact on everyone in the room.”

He added: “So to be in this category with you tonight is incredible. Thank you, Ethan.”
