Rivers LG Polls: RSIEC concludes second training for collation officers

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, has concluded the second round of training for 319 Ward Collation and Returning Officers ahead of the August 30 Local Government Election in the state.

In a statement, the Chairman and Chief Electoral Officer, Michael Ekpali Odey, said the second phase of training was in line with the Commission’s commitment to building competence, capability, and professionalism among its election day ad-hoc staff.

Odey explained that he directed the second round of training for the 319 Ward Collation and Returning Officers, which took place on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the RSIEC headquarters in Port Harcourt
