Former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani, has called on voters in Andoni Local Government Area to support the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming local government elections.

The former Speaker suggested that the state and particularly the council would be better empowered to withstand the economic storm in the country under the stewardship of the APC.

Ibani made the appeal while presenting the APC chairmanship candidate, Prince Lucky Promise Otuo, to the people of Ward 7 in Egbormung Town ahead of the August 30 polls.

He expressed confidence that the APC candidate would deliver effective grassroots governance and empower residents in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

The ex-Speaker said Otuo’s candidacy was the outcome of careful consideration by party stakeholders, describing him as a disciplined politician and people-oriented leader.

In his remarks, Otuo pledged to run an all-inclusive administration aimed at reducing hardship in Andoni through economic and social transformation.
