The Rivers State Executive Council approved a budget proposal of ₦1.854 trillion for the fiscal year 2026 on Friday.

This budget, named the “Budget of Resilience for Growth and Development,” received approval following extensive discussions during the EXCO meeting.

The meeting, which was the first of 2026, was led by the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, along with his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, and other attendees.
