The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced the process of confirming the appointment of commissioners and members of the Rivers State Executive Council recently nominated by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
DAILY POST recalls that Fubara recently dissolved the state executive council and all his special advisers in a development that most analysts believe to be part of the recent truce between him and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike by President Bola Tinubu.
The governor subsequently nominated their replacements.
A statement issued on Monday by the Clerk of the House, Emeka Amadi invited the nominees to submit forty (40) sets of their Curriculum vitae (CV), photocopies of credentials and evidence of compliance with tax obligations.
The statement added that all “documents should be forwarded to the office of the Clerk of the House at the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters”.
The nominees include, Professor Datonye Alasia; Mr Tonye Bellgam; Professor Temple Nwofor; Dr Peters Nwagor, Mrs Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, Esq, Mr Lekue Kenneth, Otonye TKD Amachree, Esq. and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
