RICHARD Osman has bid a sad farewell to House of Games in his last ever episode – as fans are left in tears.

The 55-year-old has hosted the hit Two show since 2017 but announced in March that he would be stepping down to focus on his other successful career as an author.

Richard left viewers emotional with his speech

After a , spoke to the crew and viewers as he bid farewell.

He said: “Thank all of the crew, they’re wonderful people.”

He then told viewers: “You’re going to have a new host next week.

“I want to say thank you to the incredible crew, if you’re worried about next week I promise you, this show is not because of me, because of these incredible people and the question writers.

“So you’re in very safe hands with this new host as well. From me to you, thank you for watching, that’s the real pleasure of this show, is you, viewers watching with their families and all sorts of things.

“There’s all sorts of nonsense going on in the world but you know you’ve got half an hour of silliness here.

“From me to you, thank you. Next week, you’ll be watching House of Games but not with me, but I will be watching with you.”

He then gave a salute to camera and said thank you before the credits rolled.

Viewers were then treated to a handover clip with Richard sitting in a contestant chair talking about the house, before Celebrity Traitors star swivelled around in the question master’s chair and smiled at the camera, ahead of his first show on Monday.

Viewers were quick to comment on Richard’s final episode, with one writing on X: “Aww! That #HouseofGames farewell was quite emotional. We’ll miss you @richardosman.”

Another wrote: “As if I’m tearing up at @richardosman signing off his last ever #HouseOfGames Easily my favourite tv show.”

A third commented: “So sad to see Richard leave!”
