Real Madrid Football Club on Friday expressed sadness over the death of popular veteran sports journalist, Manuel Esteban Fernández, also known as Manolete.
He died on Thursday in Madrid, Spain, at the age of 68.
Reacting, Real Madrid, in a post via their website, expressed condolences to Manolete’s family, colleagues and his loved ones.
Manolete had an exceptional professional career that saw him become one of the most famous sports journalists in Spain.
He was also a big fan of Real Madrid’s LaLiga rivals Atlético Madrid.
