TRIBUTES have flooded in for the “brilliant” BBC comedy icon and Mr Bean star Sally Grace who died aged 74.

The legendary actress, who famously voiced Margaret Thatcher on Radio 4’s Week Ending, passed away after a cancer battle.

Officials at No10 reportedly rated her “frightening” impression of the late Prime Minister so highly that they deemed it “scarier than the real thing”.

Sally’s comedic genius also saw her win the Radio Times Award for best radio comedy performance in 1992.

The actress briefly appeared in Coronation Street, starring as Doreen Lovell, in 1980.

While her time on the cobbles was brief, Sally was offered a year-long contract on the ITV show.

But she turned down the offer after deciding voice acting would work better for her as she raised her children.
