QPR has withdrawn from a youth tournament in Milan following a player experiencing appalling racist abuse.
The Rs were participating in the Winter Cup when one of the players in the Under-13 squad faced racism from an opposing player after one of their matches on Saturday.

The club decided, despite advancing to the next round, that they would not continue participating in the tournament.
Academy Director Alex Carroll expressed pride in how the young players managed the situation.
He emphasized that the club maintains a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy on discrimination and will always take necessary measures to protect its players.
The young athletes are expected to return to London tonight, with the club's safeguarding team in contact with those affected by the incident.
Carroll stated: “It is unfortunate to find ourselves in such a situation.
“Providing our young players with opportunities to participate in tournaments in different countries is immensely beneficial for their development.
“However, we uphold a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of discrimination and will always take necessary actions to safeguard our players.
“We are extremely proud of how our boys handled a very challenging situation.

This decision was made after one of our U13 players experienced racist abuse from an opponent on Saturday.

A club statement read: “QPR can confirm its decision to withdraw its players from the Winter Cup, a youth tournament held in Milan.
“This action was taken after one of our U13 players was subjected to racist abuse from an opposing player at the end of our match on Saturday, December 13th.
“Although we advanced to the next stage of the competition, the club has chosen not to continue its involvement.”
