A racegoer was kicked off the grounds on account of their behaviour towards leading rider Cieren Fallon.

Fallon, 28, is the son of iconic rider Kieren Fallon and has forged a top career for himself which includes being No2 for William Haggas.

Fractious scenes occurred in front of a big crowd after Fallon finished last of three on Wathnan Racing’s 9-2 outsider Flagbearer in the second race on the card at 5.40pm.

Trained by Haggas, the horse kept on in the closing stages but was beaten half a length.

It was as Fallon was making his way back to the weighing room that the ugly scenes occurred.

The statement read: “Following the 5.40pm race at Hamilton Park on Friday, an incident occurred involving jockey Cieren Fallon and a racegoer.

“Following reports of unacceptable conduct, the individual involved was ejected from the racecourse by our security team.

“The matter has been referred to the relevant industry authorities and Hamilton Park will provide any information or assistance required, should it be requested as part of any formal inquiries.
