HALLOWEEN is just around the corner, and millions of people worldwide are preparing for the spooky season by carving pumpkins.

According to Eddie, it took her two hours to carve the large orange pumpkin, but despite her efforts, social media users couldn't help but see female genitalia in the design.
Sharing her Halloween mishap on her page, Eddie explained that she aimed to create the Eye of Sauron.
Known for its fiery appearance, the Eye of Sauron symbolizes constant vigilance and sharp perception, and it is a significant element in the epic fantasy films.
Eddie mentioned that she wasn’t an expert, and the project took her two hours, putting her “whole heart and soul” into the task.
“I haven’t carved a pumpkin since I was 19 – and that was eight years ago,” said the 27-year-old TikToker.
“It’s not something I particularly enjoyed. However, my five-year-old wanted to carve a pumpkin, so I thought, ‘I’ll give it a try.’
“I had a good reference photo – but not the skill set,” she later reflected on the mishap in a video .
“I had never tried to shave layers off a pumpkin before, so that was new to me—obviously.
“I kept getting confused about what was supposed to be dark and where the light should shine through,” said Eddie, who goes by the username @ helicopter.eddie .
“I tried—I did my best.”
Despite believing she did “pretty well” for her “first time,” the carved pumpkin went viral on TikTok for all the wrong reasons.
The mother, presumed to be from the USA, stated that someone told her the design resembled female genitals, and fellow TikTok users couldn't unsee it.
“Eye of Sauron, move over; this year is for the Lips of Sauron,” joked one of the 2.7 million viewers.
Tips for Saving on Halloween
CUT-OUTS WON’T LAST: Once carved, pumpkins only last three to five days before they begin to rot. So, wait until a day or two before Halloween to carve yours to avoid needing a replacement.
CARVE IT RIGHT: Make sure to carve your pumpkin correctly the first time. Download free templates from Hobbycraft to help prevent mistakes.
CHEAP DECORATIONS: Create spooky spider webs using old string or rope.
LOW-COST FACE PAINT: Save money by using your old eyeliners and eyeshadows, and add some talcum powder for a ghostly white effect.
DISCOUNT CANDY: Before buying candy to hand out, check your cupboards for leftovers. If you need more, look for bulk deals and compare prices per kilo before purchasing.
POT LUCK PARTY: Ask your guests to bring a delicious themed dish to your party to keep hosting costs down.
SPOOKY PLAYLIST: Check out free playlists for a frightfully good time. There are many channels with hour-long mixes available.
HOLD A CLOTHING SWAP: Swapping clothes with friends is an easy way to refresh your wardrobe. Organize a spooky clothing swap before Halloween to exchange costumes for both kids and adults.
FREE HALLOWEEN EVENTS: Sign up for free local Halloween events. Check your local Nextdoor or Facebook pages, or search eventbrite.co.uk for ideas.
MAKE YOUR OWN FAKE BLOOD: Instead of spending money on expensive fake blood, create your own edible version. It's perfect for cakes and costume decorations.
SHOP ON NOVEMBER 1: Be organized and snag next year's bargains by shopping the day after Halloween. Remember to buy children's costumes a size larger to accommodate growth.
“Not the pumpkussy,” someone else joked.
“I fear they were not wrong,” a third person added.
“THIS is why I don’t carve pumpkins,” another commented.
