Here we look at the new time-limited substitutions and what they mean for the game.

When can a substitute come on if a player does not leave the pitch in ten seconds in Premier League?

Players who have been substituted now have 10 seconds to leave the pitch at the nearest point.

If they fail to beat the count, the player coming on cannot enter the field until the first stoppage after one minute has elapsed.
