As efforts persist to completely eradicate Polio in Nigeria, Rotary International emphasizes that this is a mission that must be fulfilled.

She made this statement available to the media ahead of the visit from Rotary Foundation Chairman and Past Rotary International President, Holger Knaack, along with his spouse, Susanne, to Nigeria.
Semenitari stated that the visit is primarily focused on enhancing the fight against Polio and promoting health initiatives.
The week-long visit to Nigeria, scheduled from November 1–7, 2025, will offer an opportunity to reinforce Rotary’s long-standing commitment to eliminating polio, preventing diseases, and safeguarding mothers and children.
“During the visit, Mr. Knaack will engage with Rotary leaders, government officials, and partners, including the Federal Ministry of Health, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), and other collaborators.
In a similar vein, Rotary International President-Elect Yinka Babalola remarked: “Our collective aim is not only to eradicate polio but also to establish enduring systems that ensure families remain healthy and robust.”
