In a statement, a spokesperson said: “Urgent inquiries began after the report was received by the British Transport Police on Thursday, October 16, once the location was confirmed, and detectives are now urgently seeking information and witnesses.”
Detective Constable Rob Wyllie stated: “This is a shocking and dreadful incident, and we are working quickly to identify and apprehend the individual responsible.
“I encourage anyone who recognizes the man in the image or who may have interacted with him that night to contact us as soon as possible, as we believe he may have valuable information for our investigation.”
