A POPULAR pizza restaurant has confirmed it will open a pop-up delivery and pick-up store as they wait for plans on a multi-million dollar development nearby.
The Dallas pizza house has signed a short-term lease to continue flipping pizzas as the details on the plans of a nearby $800 million tower continue to be worked through.

David Campisi, owner and chief pizza operator of Campisi’s, confirmed the delivery and pick-up location would open on Preston Road and Royal Lane on August 1.
Campisi and his family are behind one of the city’s longest running Italian eateries.
The family’s first Campisi’s – which is fondly called The Egyptian – first opened to hungry diners in 1950.
Still in its original location on Mockingbird Lane, the family now runs restaurants across Dallas-Fort Worth.
The Preston-Royal kitchen will be the ninth diner in North Texas.
The family plans to open more go-to kitchens serving their full menu, just without a dining room, according to Campisi, enabling customers to order and pick up an Italian feast in just 15 minutes.
“We put a lot of resources in our kitchen so our pick up times are quicker,” he said.
The quick-fix spot will replace Saucy’s Thai and Pho, which closed near Preston Hollow on February 1, 2026.
Campisi’s will also feature a small market with take-and-bake pizzas and half- size lasagnas available to all customers, without the need for them to call ahead.
In relation to delivery, Campisi advised customers to place their orders on the restaurant’s website, where food is less expensive than through third-party apps, including DoorDash and Uber Eats.
The owner-operator revealed he had only signed the short term lease at Preston-Royal ahead of an $800 million development on the southwest corner.
He said the mammoth building could change the intersection entirely.
Plans for the towers are slated to be reviewed by Dallas’ City Plan Commission in June.
Campisi confirmed the new delivery and pick-up spot will not replace the company’s desire to reopen their restaurant in the Bluffview and Devonshire neighbourhoods of Dallas.
The family were forced to close the diner after a fire damaged its interior late last year.
Campisi’s remains closed at West Lovers Lane and Inwood Road for now.
