Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has held a meeting in Kaduna State with a governorship aspirant and a serving senator.

Obi alongside leaders of the Obidient Movement met with Alhaji Sheikh Tijani and the senator representing Kaduna Central, Lawal Adamu Usman, during a visit to the state.

Details of the meeting were shared in a post on the official X handle of Dr Yunusa Tanko, Interim National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement.

In the post the engagement was described as part of efforts to build unity and strengthen collaboration among political actors in the state.

It added that discussions during the meeting focused on the need for people oriented leadership, good governance and long term development in Kaduna State and across the country.

The post read, β€œThe engagement focused on strengthening unity, fostering collaboration, and charting a clear path toward good governance and sustainable development.”
