PETER Kay has revealed the eye-popping pain he felt when his urologist removed a stent from his penis without pain relief.
The popular comic, 52, writes in detail about the intimate ordeal, which took place in the month of March in an unspecified year, in his new book, ‘s Diary.

Alarm bells first started to ring when he experienced pain while travelling on a train to Wigan. Two days later the pain had spread to his lower back, prompting him to look up his symptoms.
Twenty-four hours later a CT scan confirmed he had a large stone at the exit point of his right kidney.
writes: “He (urologist) reassured me, but said I needed emergency surgery to remove the kidney stone, which would also involve having a stent fitted at my urethra in order to maintain my kidney functions. F**k a duck.”
His mind quickly turned to horror tales of dealing with the problem and reassurances from the urologist did little to quell his concerns.
Peter says, “…I was starting to sob and make the occasional high pitched whining sound, like when you fire an air rifle at a dog’s testicles.”
A tiny camera fitted with a laser needed to be inserted into his urethra and the mere thought of it sent Peter potty.
He writes: “Then the penny dropped with a huge realisation. Oh, my God, he means he’s going in through the hole at the end of my penis.
“My world collapsed. Red lights flashed in my head. He can’t go up there? It’s out of bounds, private land. Area 51. A camera won’t fit up there, let alone one carrying a laser. Was this guy on glue?”
The procedure went well and the stone was blasted apart, but it didn’t bring an immediate end to the pain.
For seven days post surgery he grimaced while using the loo, and things got even worse when he returned to hospital to have the stent removed.
He says: “The urologist said I didn’t need any pain relief. He said it’d be a walk in the park, though I don’t know which parks he walks through.
“The urologist advised me to breathe deeply, in and out, then grabbed my penis like he was grabbing a snake and squeezed it, which caused my eyes to bulge like a cartoon.
“It was painful and unpleasant and a dreadful experience I never wish to repeat. Ever!”
Just two weeks ago, after having surgery for kidney stones again.
A statement from tour promoter SJM concerts read: “We regret to inform you that due to a routine procedure, Peter will be unable to perform his scheduled shows at Nottingham Motorpoint Arena on Sunday 5th October and Monday 6th October.
“Following medical advice, Peter will be taking a period of time to rest and recover.”
The show on the 5th has moved to Thursday, December 11, while the show on the 6th will take place Friday, December 12.
All tickets are valid for the new shows and refunds are available for those who cannot attend the new dates.
The organisers thanked fans for the “patience and understanding” in the statement.
Kidney stones are masses made of salt and minerals, and can be anywhere between a grain of salt and a golf ball in size.
The stones are incredibly painful, with many sufferers claiming that the experience is one they will never forget.
While most pass on their own through the urethra – the tube between the kidney and the bladder – some require medical removal with surgery.
