PEP GUARDIOLA has given a huge update on Erling Haalandâs fitness.
Thatâs after the striker missed Manchester Cityâs 1-0 win at Leicester on Saturday.
Haaland, 22, gave City fans a scare when he was subbed off with a foot injury in Tuesdayâs 0-0 Champions League draw at Borussia Dortmund.
He was spotted hobbling into hospital the very next day.
And fears were confirmed when Haaland failed to make the match squad for today’s early kick-off.
There are now questions over when the free-scoring striker will return.
But Guardiola has provided a fresh update on Haalandâs fitness.
The Spaniard admits thereâs no chance his star forward will face Sevilla on Wednesday, with City already booking their place in the Champions League knockout stages.
And thereâs just a slim chance Haaland returns in time for next weekend against Fulham.
Yet despite suffering ligament damage in his foot, the Norwegian should be fit in time for the Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea.

Guardiola said: âHe has ligament damage. He feels better, we have one more week.
âHe wonât play against Sevilla because weâve already qualified and hopefully against Fulham he can help us.
âIf not he might play against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.â
Fantasy Football fans will certainly be hoping for a swift return, with many keeping Haaland in their side this weekend.
One moaned: âPep has messed up millions of fantasy league weekends.â
Another laughed: âThat noise you hear is every single Fantasy Team player crying.â
One quipped: âFantasy Twitter melt down on whether Haaland startsâ¦Ã¢
Another added: âGuardiola is the enemy of fantasy football.â
