POLICE have initiated an urgent manhunt following the violent robbery of a pensioner at a tram stop.

The woman, who is in her late sixties, had her black holdall bag forcibly taken from her at a tram stop in [location], on Wednesday, July 30.

According to reports, the assailant approached her and violently snatched the bag from her hand.

The elderly lady was knocked to the ground due to the force of the attack and sustained bruises as a result.
