Former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja, has expressed optimism that ex-governor Yahaya Bello can reconcile with suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Onoja, who noted that “peace is better than war,” recounted how the duo once dinned together.

He disclosed this during an interview on Mic On podcast on Saturday.

The former deputy governor also dismissed claims that Bello was behind Natasha’s suspension from the Senate and her current ordeal.

Asked about speculations that Bello was behind Natasha’s claim, he said: “Was said, I didn’t say that, I didn’t know that, and I don’t want to believe that.”

On them being at loggerheads, Onoja said: “I will advise them to reconcile, that is what brothers and sisters do.

“Once upon a time Natasha was in our party, APC, invited in by Yahaya Bello and they dinned together, they have been friends.

“She was in our party and she attended one occasion in Glass House – Kogi State Government House and his Excellency made me stand up from my seat to go and greet her and I did, once you are directed by your principal you just do it. I just believe that peace is better than war.”
