The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Hon. Nname Ewor, the Caretaker Committee (CTC) Chairman in Rivers State, for aligning himself with the recently expelled Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Ojimah remarked: “The Caretaker Committee of the PDP, Rivers State Chapter, after our meeting today, January 3, 2026, has resolved to disassociate itself from the statements and public actions of Dr. Nname Robinson Ewor.
“It is crucial to remind the public that Hon. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has been expelled from the party and has no right to interfere in PDP affairs.
“Through his actions and statements, Dr. Ewor has voluntarily resigned from his role as Caretaker Chairman.
“As a result, the committee has officially suspended him as both Chairman and a member of the Rivers State PDP CTC. No engagements should be made with him in this capacity.
“The committee has unanimously appointed Secretary Ogbam Ojimah as Acting Chairman and Dr. Baribefu Fidunko as Acting Secretary.
“We remain dedicated to strengthening our party for competitive elections and effective service to the people under the leadership of Dr. Kabiru Turaki, the PDP National Chairman.”
