PDP: Minister of Aviation leaked Atiku’s resignation letter – Paul Ibe alleges

Published on July 17, 2025 at 05:56 AM

Mr Paul Ibe, Special Adviser to former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has slammed the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, accusing him of leaking Atiku’s communication about quitting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

According to Ibe, people like Keyamo, alongside some people in the PDP working with the All Progressives Congress, APC, do not wish the former Vice President well.

The news about Atiku’s resignation from the PDP spread on Wednesday almost immediately after he had just paid a condolence visit to the family of late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

Meanwhile, the former Vice President has been in discussion with the newly formed Coalition under the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Speaking on Arise News, Ibe said, “People who never wished his Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar well leaked his communication about quitting the PDP. Oh yes! It was leaked.

“It is unfortunate that the minister of aviation, who rather should be concerned with aviation matters and there are plenty of them, run ways and better infrastructures, would jump into the case like knowing what caused an accident even before the investigation.

“Actually they’re the ones. Gross elements in the PDP, working in cahoots with the APC, leaked the communication and that’s why we’re having this conversation. That’s why I said I would rather we’re talking about something else and not this.”;

Atiku is expected to run for the Presidency again in 2027 as his body language depicts.

And if this happens, he might be contesting the ADC presidential primary with the likes of former Rivers State governor, Chibuike Amaechi and former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, who have all publicly declared their interest.
