The Oyo State Police Command has announced that it is enhancing security ahead of the 2025 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention, which is set to take place on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16, at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The command’s spokesperson, Osifeso Adewale, released a statement on X on Friday, indicating that the police are intensifying security protocols to ensure a safe and peaceful event.

The police also highlighted that the convention is anticipated to draw significant political figures, international observers, media personnel, guests, and participants from all over the country.

The statement further elaborated that the command has formulated a comprehensive security strategy in collaboration with other security agencies in preparation for a large turnout.
