CRYSTAL Palace’s Conference League final was briefly stopped due to a medical emergency in the crowd.

Goalkeeper Augusto Batalla motioned for the match to stop as everyone paused in a moment of confusion.

Play was left suspended for a few minutes as stewards tended to the scene, with paramedics soon appearing.

Play resumed soon after as the stewards headed back up the stairs, reportedly with a fan amongst them.

The medical efforts were met with applause from the Spanish supporters.
