The TRUTH about Olivia Attwood & Pete Wicks’ ‘engagement’ – surprise trip, tears at lunch and emotional declaration

THEY only hard-launched their relationship last month, but Olivia Attwood and Pete Wicks’ romance is moving at a blistering pace.

Speaking on his Staying Relevant podcast this week, Pete revealed that the star is taking him to for his birthday – a move, along with a series of other recent interesting updates – which has seemingly got the whole of Essex talking.

It comes weeks after Olivia posted a screen shot on , showing a message with the words “love of my life”.

And The Sun can reveal engagement rumours have been swirling around the pair since last month, after sources claimed they had a conversation about during a loved-up holiday in St Tropez.

Word that the pair had agreed to wed stormed through the Essex gossip mill as soon as they returned home, with one source close to the pair insisting: “There’s no ring, but they had the conversation.”

At the time, reps were adamant the couple were not engaged.

But weeks later it seems the loved-up pair are deliberately stoking up the gossip around their relationship.

Pete, 37, told audiences of Staying Relevant: “Liv has booked my birthday present, she’s taking me to Vegas.

“She told me over lunch at the weekend, and do you want to know something even more embarrassing – I cried.

“No one’s ever bought me anything for my birthday – I’ve never done anything.

“So yes, favourite place, favourite person.”

Asked if he was going to get married, the former Celeb star said: “So,” before laughing.

He then continued: “No we are not. Lot going on.”

Pete, who has been pals with Olivia for eight years, revealed they were in July with an post.

And since then, the loved-up updates and PDAs have been coming thick and fast.

One source said after their romantic holiday in St Tropez: “Things have moved very fast for them, as they have only been since March, but they have known each other as friends since 2017.

“They are incredibly happy together, and in St Tropez they were joking about having their as ring bearers on their wedding day.

“Which obviously has got everybody in Essex guessing when they might get engaged.”

Last week saw Olivia post a full photoshoot of the pair before going on a date, while at the National TV Awards they gushed over how “beautiful” they each looked on the .

Their passion-heavy romance comes after Olivia, 35, split from footballer in January amid cheating rumours.

Two months later she was spotted kissing former Towie star Pete in London’s Soho after “an unexpected romance” developed.

And star Olivia revealed this month how Pete admitted he had feelings for her after she separated from Bradley, 32.

She told Cosmopolitan: “We always got on so well but we bickered like brother and sister – never once was there ever…

“Once he knew I was separated, he made his feelings known and it all happened quite quickly.

“Our friendship group is nauseated by us – we’re one PDA away from being exiled. I’m like: ‘Who are we?’

“We’re bringing out a (new) side of each other.”

Olivia, who first found fame on in 2017, dated for seven months after the series.

They split in February 2018 while filming show Chris & Olivia: Crackin’ On, and Olivia then reunited with ex Bradley.

The pair married in a £200,000 ceremony for 80 guests at the five-star Bulgari hotel in Knightsbridge in June 2023.

But it later emerged the wedding was not legal.

Meanwhile Towie star Pete was most recently linked to .

The pair began in 2024 but split months later in February 2025.

Speaking in 2024, Pete said candidly: “I want to get married and have kids. I’ve been blessed with so many opportunities, but what’s the point if I can’t share them with anyone?”
