Rivers Angels head coach Tosan Blackson has urged the club’s supporters to stand behind the team in the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Super Six playoff.

The Port Harcourt-based club will face Bayelsa Queens in their opening fixture of the competition on Saturday in Ikenne.

Blackson stated that the team is focused on winning the NWFL title.

“The supporters should pray for the team and expect victory. They should be ready to receive the trophy from us in Port Harcourt,”; Blackson told BSN Sports.

“There is nothing new in the drawer. The six teams that are here are all potential champions, so whoever we play in our first or last match is the same. Playing Bayelsa Queens is not new. At least we have been playing them, and it’s part of the game.”;

Blackson added that he is anticipating a tough match against the Prosperity Girls.

“We would still play them the way we played in the regular season. Definitely, the game will be tough, but the better side will win,”; he said.
