The Edo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is in mourning for its Commandant, Gbenga Agun.
According to DAILY POST, the NSCDC commandant collapsed and passed away during an event organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates on Thursday.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely demise of Commandant Agun Gbenga, Commandant of NSCDC Edo State Command.
“Commandant Agun Gbenga collapsed after delivering his goodwill message at an event organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Center in Benin City. He was promptly taken to the Military Hospital, where he was declared dead.
“As a skilled operations officer, Commandant Agun Gbenga worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of lives and property.
“His humility, approachability, and intelligence earned him immense respect and admiration. His unwavering dedication to duty and commitment to excellence will be profoundly missed.
“The NSCDC Edo State Command and the nation have lost a devoted officer,” the statement concluded.
