Wikki Tourists technical adviser, Abdullahi Maikaba, has blamed fatigue for his team’s performance in the 1-1 draw against Abia Warriors.
The Bauchi Elephants rallied from a goal down through Taheer Abubakar to earn a share of the spoils at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Wednesday.
Chukwuemeka Obioma opened the scoring for Abia Warriors.
Maikaba commended his players for their determination in securing a point in the game.
“Fatigue really affected us in the game because of our travel arrangements to Umuahia,” Maikaba stated in a post-match interview.
“The result really impressed me because the boys showed determination despite our challenges.”
Wikki Tourists moved to 13th position with 27 points from 23 matches.
