Published on July 15, 2025 at 01:18 PM

Shooting Stars technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote has said the team won’t derail from their target at the Eko International pre-season tournament.

Ogunbote also said the tournament will give him the chance to assess his players for the new season.

The Oluyole Warriors are will face Rivers United in their second game.

Shooting Stars played out a 2-2 draw with Ikorodu City in their opening fixture of the competition.

“It wasn’t a bad game. Pre-season tournaments are meant to enable the coaches to see their players. If you want to look at a team that will win at all cost, then the purpose is defeated,”; Ogunbote said.

The Ibadan club are expected to play more tune up games before the start of the new season.
