NPFL: Shooting Stars, Barau FC win on the road

Shooting Stars and Barau FC recorded away wins on matchday six of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

In Ozoro, Shooting Stars recorded their first win on the road this season, edging past Warri Wolves 2-1.

Warri Wolves struck first in the 52nd minute through Igbunu Evwierhurhoma.

Qamar Adegoke, and Adams Mustapha scored two late goals for the visitors to snatch maximum points.

At the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, Barau FC beat their hosts Kun Khalifat FC 3-1.

It was Barau FC’s first win in the NPFL this season.

Barau FC took the lead through Ebuka Nwokorie after 14 minutes.

Yahaya Ibrahim equalised for Barau FC one minute later.

Hillary Ekawu gave Kun Khalifat the lead for the first time in the 65th minute, while Ibrahim scored his second of the game nine minutes from time.

In Lafia, Nasarawa United defeated Katsina United 2-0 with Anas Yusuf and Abubakar Abdullahi scoring the goals.
