NPFL: Ogunbote yet to decide Shooting Stars’ future

Published on May 29, 2025 at 10:28 AM

Shooting Stars technical adviser Gbenga Ogunbote has kept mum on his future with the club.

The veteran tactician has one year left on his contract with the Oluyole Warriors.

Ogunbote expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of his team in the just-concluded Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

“Everybody knows I have a two-year contract with Shooting Stars and I have just spent one, but it’s quite unfortunate that the just-concluded season wasn’t a positive one as far as I’m concerned,”; Ogunbote told Shooting Stars media.

“We need to reevaluate the season and form a position on where we got it wrong, how we got it wrong.

“At the end of it all, let us see what happens.”;

The Ibadan-based club ended their NPFL campaign in eighth position with 54 points from 38 games.
