Kano Pillars have announced the appointment of Evans Ogenyi as their new technical adviser, DAILY POST reports.

Ogenyi takes over from Usman Abdallah, who left the role in in May due to personal reasons.

The experienced tactician is returning to familiar territory having guided Kano Pillars to Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, promotion in 2023.

His appointment takes immediate effect.

He was previously an assistant coach at one-time NFPL champions Rivers United.

The former Warri Wolves coach left the position last month following the expiration of his contract.

Ogenyi has also managed Lobi Stars in the past.
