NPFL: Kano Pillars declare goalkeeper, Onyia missing

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Kano Pillars have declared goalkeeper, Emeka Onyia Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL).

Kano Pillars made the declaration in a statement on Monday.

The Sai Masu Gida stated that the shot stopper has been missing since March, 2025.

Kano Pillars stressed that several efforts by the club Management and technical crew to reach out to him through various channels has proved abortive

Part of the statement reads,”;;Onyia has failed to report to training and has remained completely absent from the club’s camp without any formal notification or justification.”;;

“This conduct is a clear violation of the club’s professional code of conduct and disciplinary framework. Kano Pillars FC is treating this matter with utmost seriousness and appropriate actions will be taken in line with the club’s regulations and the Nigeria Premier Football League rules.”;;
