Ikorodu City stunned league leaders Rivers United 1-0 in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Matchday 30 encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Monday.

Substitute Folarin Temitope scored the winning goal for Ikorodu City in the 52nd minute.

Temitope slotted the ball into the net after Rivers United’s goalkeeper saved an attempt from Salami Farouk.

Mike Ozebagbe’s side maintained their lead for the remainder of the game.

Rivers United, who still have an outstanding game, top the standings with 52 points from 29 matches.

Ikorodu City moved to third position with 48 points from 30 matches.
