NPFL: Ideye scores for Enyimba, Katsina United wallop Abia Warriors

Former Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, was among the goal scorers as Enyimba secured a 2-1 victory over Kano Pillars in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL Matchday 34 encounter in Aba on Saturday.

Joseph Atule gave Enyimba the lead in the 35th minute, while Ideye doubled the hosts’ advantage just three minutes into the second half.

The win saw Enyimba climb to seventh position on the table with 49 points from 34 matches.

Kano Pillars remain in ninth place with 47 points from the same number of games.

Elsewhere, Katsina United produced a dominant performance to thrash Abia Warriors 5-1.

Bello Lukman scored twice for Katsina United, with Mubarak Said, Nura Abdulbari, and Ahmed Taofeek also getting on the scoresheet for the home side.

Antoine Ijoma scored the consolation goal for Abia Warriors.
