Niger Tornadoes’ technical adviser, Majin Mohammed, has blamed bad luck for his team’s 1-0 defeat to Bendel Insurance.

The Ikon Allah Boys conceded a last-minute goal from Isreal Emmanuel at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday.

The win was Bendel Insurance’s first of the 2025-26 season.

“We didn’t set out to defend. In fact, it is not in our character to go to away games and start defending, but today, we were not lucky,” Mohammed reacted after the game.

Niger Tornadoes occupy sixth position on the league table with six points from four games.

They will take on Ikorodu City in their next game in Minna.
