NPFL: Bayelsa United thrash Shooting Stars, boost survival hopes

Bayelsa United eased their relegation worries with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Shooting Stars at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Friday.

Ogba Ifeanyi and Magbisa Wisdom scored for the Prosperity Boys in the first half.

Forward Kehinde Lawal netted the third goal for the hosts one minute after the break.

Bayelsa United extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches with the win.

Ladan Bosso's side also moved from ninth to 13th position, with 45 points from 33 games.

Shooting Stars remain in fifth position with 48 points from the same number of matches.

The remaining Matchday 33 games will be played on Sunday.
