Shooting Stars technical adviser, Nurudeen Aweroro, has praised his players after the club secured third position in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.

The Oluyole Warriors earned a continental berth for the first time in over two decades.

Aweroro insisted that the players and the backroom staff played a pivotal role in finishing among the top three in the NPFL.

β€œTo God be all the praise β€” He made this possible, I’m deeply humbled to lead this group,” Aweroro stated in a chat with the media.

β€œMy heartfelt thanks to Hon. Taiwo Lekan-Salami for the belief and backing.

β€œIf I’m honest, my role was small, The heart, sweat, and sacrifice came from the players who gave everything, and the staff who worked day and night out of sight.

β€œMedia and fans, I’m begging you β€” celebrate these boys and the backroom team more. They deserve every cheer, every headline.”
