NPFL: Akanni set to leave Enyimba for Katsina United

Elijah Akanni is close to sealing a move away from nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions Enyimba.

Akanni has been with the People’s Elephant since 2022.

The midfielder’s contract with Enyimba expired at the end of the 2024-25 season.

The 23-year-old featured regularly under coach Stanley Eguma last season.

According to reports, Katsina United have opened contract talks with the player.

Akanni is expected to complete his move before the start of the new season.
