In a bid to ensure a crime free State, the National Orientation Agency, (NOA), has forged partnership with the Yobe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), to fight crimes.
This was when the State Acting Director of the Agency, Alhaji Muhammed Ali Tikau, visited his counterpart of the NSCDC.
NOA’s State Director commended the critical role Civil Defence is playing in combating crimes and addressing conflicts, particularly between herders and farmers something which he has strengthened peace and unity in the state.
He emphasized NOA’s commitment as a member of the National Intelligence Council, highlighting the significant impact both agencies are making to ensure peaceful coexistence across Nigeria.
The State Commandant, NSDCD, Abubakar Isa Musa Zaria appreciated NOA for recognizing NSCDC’s contributions to national security and social order.
He pledged continued support in NOA’s efforts to promote government initiatives, especially the mobilisation drive aimed at fostering national values and reorienting citizens to act in ways that strengthen national unity.
Zaria described NOA as a vital institution with its presence across all the 17 local government areas of Yobe State, hence the need for closer collaboration between the two agencies to enhance their collective impact.
