No senior manager wants to work with him – Mido reveals Ronaldo’s big problem

Former Tottenham Hotspur attacker, Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s major problem is that the Portugal forward cancels out the personality of any coach he works with.

Mido claimed that no senior coach wants to work alongside the 40-year-old as he compared him to former France international Karim Benzema.

Ronaldo is known for being vocal both on and off the pitch as he never shied away from publicly expressing his views.

The former Juventus star had issues with former Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag during their time at Old Trafford after he publicly criticized the Dutchman.

The Al-Nassr captain is currently linked with a move to join another club after indicating his time at the Saudi Pro Lig is “over”;.

Speaking about the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Mido said (via Kooora): “Ronaldo’s problem is that he cancels out the personality of any coach he works with, unlike other players like [Karim] Benzema.

“Benzema is also a great player, but he gives the coach his due and respect, and knows his role well. I challenge any major coach to find someone who would want to work with Ronaldo or welcome leading Al-Nassr in his presence.

“Ronaldo came to Al-Nassr after European clubs closed their doors to him.

“Even Simone Inzaghi [Inter Milan manager], if offered to coach Al-Nassr while Cristiano [Ronaldo] was present, wouldn’t accept.”;
