SBS’s “The Haunted Palace”; has unveiled new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!
“The Haunted Palace”; is a fantasy historical rom-com that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the king, a female shaman who opposes it, and an evil spirit known as Imugi. BTOB’s Yook Sungjae stars as Yoon Gap, a royal archivist and Yeo Ri’s first love who becomes possessed by an Imugi named Gangcheori. WJSN’s Kim Ji Yeon stars as Yeo Ri, the granddaughter of a powerful shaman who rejects her spiritual powers and destined path.

In the previous episode, Gangcheori, Yeo Ri, and King Lee Jeong (Kim Ji Hun) discovered a secret book revealing the true identity of the Eight Feet Tall spirit, bringing them closer to uncovering the origins of his grudge against the royal family. The episode ended with a shocking twist as the Eight Feet Tall spirit suddenly expelled the spirit of Yoon Gap, leaving viewers eager to see what unfolds next.
Newly released stills preview a dramatic three-way confrontation between Gangcheori, Yoon Gap, and Yeo Ri, capturing viewers’ attention.
In the images, Yoon Gap’s spirit appears before Yeo Ri, bloodied and in the same condition he was in just before his death. His tearful eyes and anguished expression convey a complex mix of confusion and sorrow, adding emotional weight to the moment.
Yeo Ri looks stunned, unable to process the shocking scene in front of her. Having risked her life in a desperate battle to save Yoon Gap from the Eight Feet Tall spirit, the sudden return of his spirit—now free from the monster’s control—raises questions about how this will affect her moving forward.
The confrontation between Gangcheori and Yoon Gap raises the tension even further. Although they share the same face, the stark contrast in their presence immediately draws viewers in. Gangcheori’s conflicted gaze toward Yoon Gap underscores his internal struggle.
