Gombe United have sued for calm from their supporters as they awaits the verdict of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Appeal Committee on the outcome of their matchday seven fixture against Jigawa Golden Stars.

DAILY POST recalls that the Nigeria National League, NNL, fined Gombe United a sum of N2.5 million for fans encroachment, harassment and intimidation of match officials at the Pantami Stadium.

Gombe United were given until January 9, 2026, to make the payment or risk forfeiture of three points to Jigawa Golden Stars.

The Savannah Scorpions have since exercised their legitimate right to appeal the decision, firmly believing in due process, fairness, and the supremacy of the laws governing football administration in Nigeria.

Parts of the statement read,” While the appeal process is ongoing, the Management reiterates its strong commitment to discipline, sportsmanship, and respect for constituted authorities.”

“We urge our supporters to conduct themselves responsibly and avoid actions or utterances that could further complicate matters or bring the Club and the League into disrepute.”

A decision is expected to be reached before the resumption of the second stanza of the league next month.
