The Commander of 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General A.M. Dikko, has appreciated the hard work of the Abia State Police Command in maintaining law and order in the state.

Brig Gen Dikko, who was on a familiarization visit to the Abia State Police Command Headquarters in Umuahia, called for sustained collaboration between the two security agencies in the fight against criminality.

The Commander noted that the smooth and productive working relationship between the two agencies has contributed to the relative peace in the state and expressed his preparedness for continued synergy.

Receiving the new Commander of the Nigerian 14 Brigade, Ohafia, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, together with his management team, noted that the military has remained a principal partner to the Police Command in combating crime and criminality in the state.

He described the fledgling partnership as peaceful and commendable, stressing that there is no competition between the agencies, as the constitution explicitly provides for their respective duties.

The Commissioner of Police further reiterated his commitment to continuous synergy between security agencies to guarantee safety and security in the state.
